Shaun the Sheep in the Heart of Kent Auction to raise money for Hospice
The charity behind the art trail this summer, Heart of Kent Hospice, is now getting ready for the highly anticipated grand finale with a charity auction on 26 September 2024 which will see 52 large beautifully designed sculptures auctioned in aid of the Hospice.
The sculptures will be going under the hammer at the Clive Emson Conference centre which will see the sculptures auctioned by Auction Partners Clive Emson Land & Property Auctioneers.
The thrilling auction promises to be an exciting event where attendees, together with proxy and phone voters, can bid to own their very own unique Shaun sculpture. As well as the fabulously designed large Shaun sculptures two little Shaun sculptures (Ewe Beautiful Rose and Tim the Tiger) and some blank little Shaun sculptures will also be auctioned.
Anyone who is interested in bidding to give one of the Shauns a new home, should register to attend the event by visiting the auction page of the Shaun in the Heart of Kent website https://shaunheartofkent.co.uk/events/auction/
The auction is taking place at 6:00pm on Thursday 26 September at the Clive Emson Conference Hall at the Kent Event Centre (ME14 3JF). Drinks and canapés will be served on arrival, and everyone will have a chance to view the sculptures in person before the exciting bidding begins.
Erica Snow, Project Manager at Heart of Kent Hospice said: “The generosity of individuals and businesses bidding on our sculptures will help raise vital funds for Heart of Kent Hospice. We are a charity and our services cost £6 million a year to deliver. We depend on voluntary donations for 80% of this. It’s only because of your kindness and others like you, that local people can get the help they need free of charge 365 days a year.
“We are hoping to raise £250,000 from the auction with each large sculpture auctioned for around £5,000 and little Shaun sculptures for around £2,000 but anything could happen on the night!”
For anyone not able to attend the auction on the night there is the option to bid via telephone or a proxy form. Please visit the website to find out more https://shaunheartofkent.co.uk/events/
For those not taking part in the auction but wishing to support the work of the Hospice please feel free to make a donation at www.hokh.org/donate/
