In celebration of ‘International Day of Charity’ and in support of Heart of Kent Hospice, the artist, Ralph Steadman, who lives in Maidstone, auctioned off a hand coloured screen-print in a 12-hour auction which raised £2,050 for the Hospice. The winning bidder was from California in America. Ralph has also been named as one of the artists whose designs will be part of the new free art trail coming to Maidstone in the summer of 2024.
Ralph, who is a regular supporter of the Hospice, and designed ‘Elly-do, Ely-don’t, Elly-dance’ which raised £15,500 at Elmers Big Heart of Kent Parade Auction in 2021, has this week been confirmed as one of the artists whose designs will appear as part of the 50 unique designs making up Shaun in the Heart of Kent Art Trail coming to Maidstone in the summer of 2024.
The Hospice has already signed up several sponsors for this event but there are still a few exciting sponsorship opportunities available for anyone interested in getting involved with this exciting new project.
