Join the flock and become a Shaun in the Heart of Kent Sponsor

Date published: 7 March 2024

There is limited time to get your business involved in Heart of Kent Hospice’s free art trail coming to Maidstone this summer between 29 June and 30 August 2024. This is a prime and ewe-nique opportunity to get your business noticed when thousands of people come flocking to Maidstone for the art trail!

As we come towards the end of the financial year, your company may be looking for something different to do and to raise that much needed awareness about your business.  You can reach a wide audience in Maidstone through a very special partnership with your local Hospice.

Heart of Kent Hospice, who are running the Shaun in the Heart of Kent art trail, have several different ways you can get involved and at a level that suits the size of your business. By signing up you’ll be able to raise awareness of your business to thousands of visitors, families and trail enthusiasts but also through the many associated promotions and networking events with like-minded businesses already signed up. Your teams will also have an opportunity to take part in the trail itself as we are offering volunteering opportunities throughout the summer. Joining our flock of partners and sponsors demonstrates your commitment to the local community and to our wonderful charity.

But time is running out to sign up, so don’t miss out on this baa-rilliant opportunity.

Matt Smith, Managing Director of TPS Global Logistics said: “We are delighted to be part of the ‘Shaun in the Heart of Kent’ trail 2024. Following the success of ‘Elmers Big Heart of Kent Parade’ in 2021 we very much wanted to be involved again. The art trail and the auction of the sculptures not only fundraises for Heart of Kent Hospice, but it also raises awareness of both the fantastic work done by all at Heart of Kent Hospice and enriches the visitor experience in Maidstone.

“We are looking forward to being involved in the design and sponsorship of our TPS Global Logistics Shaun the Sheep sculpture, and later in 2024 assisting with the transport and storage of the sculptures for the auction.”

Shaun the Sheep in the Heart of Kent is an exciting free art trail that will see up to 50 large individually decorated Shaun the Sheep sculptures placed around the parks, town centre and river walks in Maidstone and the surrounding areas. Each Shaun the Sheep sculpture will be designed and painted by local and national artists and will be accompanied by a flock of little Shauns decorated by local schools and community groups.

‘Shaun the Sheep in the Heart of Kent’ is a creative partnership between Heart of Kent Hospice, Wild in Art, Aardman and Presenting Partner, Maidstone Borough Council.

Erica Snow, Project Manager at the Hospice said: “We would love to hear from businesses who are interested in working with us this year to help raise as much money as possible for Heart of Kent Hospice.

“Shaun is cheeky and mischievous, and surrounded by his farmyard friends he lives life to the full – the care we provide at Heart of Kent Hospice to patients and their loved ones lets them know they are never alone, as we support them to have the best quality life for as long as they live. By becoming part of ‘Shaun the Sheep in the Heart of Kent’ you will be supporting our compassionate work and our community.”

How to get involved:

The trail will give your company a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness and engagement with the local community in a fun and imaginative way.
