Shaun in the Heart of Kent
Following the success of Elmer’s Big Heart of Kent Parade in 2021, we are excited to announce we are bringing a second art trail to Maidstone and the surrounding area from 29 June to 30 August 2024. We can reveal our second art trail will feature another iconic and much-loved character – Shaun the Sheep! Named ‘Shaun in the Heart of Kent,’ we’re delighted to be partnering again with Wild in Art, the leading producer nationally and globally of these spectacular art events, and Aardman, the world-famous, award-winning studio based in Bristol, and creator of the cheeky and lovable character Shaun the Sheep. Maidstone Borough Council will be the Official Presenting Partner of the trail.
Bringing you some baa-rilliant news!
We can’t wait to share more exciting news about our trail soon

How fabulous is this Shaun the Sheep in the Heart of Kent Spring bonnet?! We`d like to say a huge thank you to Toby for making this masterpiece. Toby is the grandson of Hugh Smith, one of our Trustees and he told us "His school has a competition each year for the best entry in their Easter Bonnet Parade. Toby decided that he wanted his bonnet to feature Shaun. So with the use of some cardboard and plenty of cotton wool balls and glue, this was him before school on the morning of the competition."
Well done Toby, you look fantastic!

We`d like to say a huge thank you to The Hearty Quilters who`ve created some incredible quilted cloaks for both our large and little Shauns, to keep them scratch free on their travels. We think you`ll agree these are works of art! The Hearty Quilters are a group who meet once a month on a Saturday to quilt and make beautiful textiles. If you have a particular skill that could help us with our Shaun in the Heart of Kent art trail, then do get in touch by emailing shaun@hokh.co.uk.

As we come towards the end of the financial year, your company may be looking for something different to do and to raise that much needed awareness about your business. You can reach a wide audience in Maidstone through a very special partnership with your local Hospice.
